Award of Specialised Residential Support Services for Children and Young People with Complex Needs

DCSSDS awarded a contract to The Corporation of the Synod of the Diocese of Brisbane for specialised services and support, providing three places at any one time for children and young people with complex support needs.

The service must offer 24-hour support, 7 days per week, with two workers on at all times for 16 hours per day, plus an eight-hour sleepover shift and one awake shift, and capacity for extra staff support during school holidays, weekends and public holidays.

It must provide culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to maintain cultural identity and connection to family and community, and encourage engagement in education, training or employment, supporting educational and/or vocational activities where needed.

The contract value is AUD 2,166,295, procured via limited method under the Social Services category.
