Award of Specialised Residential Support Services for Children and Young People with Complex Needs

DCSSDS-SDS awarded a contract to Southern Cross Support Services Pty Ltd for specialised services and support, providing twelve places for children and young people with complex support needs across five outlets.

The service delivery model includes 2-place residential outlets with one worker for 16 hours per day plus an eight-hour sleepover shift, and 3-place residential outlets with 1.5 workers for 16 hours per day (totaling 24 hours per day) plus an eight-hour sleepover shift, allowing flexible rostering.

The service must provide culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to maintain cultural identity and connection to family and community, and encourage engagement in education, training, or employment.

The contract value is AUD 6,732,000, procured via limited method.
