DCSSDS awarded a contract to Mercy Community Services SEQ Limited for specialized service and support, providing three places for children and young people with complex support needs.

The service includes awake worker support 16 hours per day, an 8-hour sleepover shift 7 days per week, and an additional 6 hours of support per calendar day.

It also provides culturally safe and secure support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people to maintain cultural identity and connection to family and community, and encourages engagement in education, training, or employment, supporting educational and/or vocational activities where needed.

The contract value is AUD 1,139,919, procured via a limited method under the Social Services category.
