Award of Specialized Residential Support Services for Children and Young People with Complex Needs

DCYJMA awarded a contract to Mercy Community Services SEQ Limited for the provision of specialized residential support services for children and young people assessed as having complex support needs.

The service outlet will deliver a total of 4,380 placement nights across 12 places, distributed over a minimum of three residential locations.

Each site will provide 16 hours of awake worker support and an 8-hour sleepover shift, seven days per week.

Additionally, the service will supply 24 hours of support on each weekday (excluding public holidays) and 32 hours on each weekend day, Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays, to be used across the three sites as required.

One location, at 3 Toomai Drive, Brassall 4305, operates from a departmentally owned property; in lieu of annual rent, an approved amount of $35,798 per annum (indexed annually) will be withheld, which is not included in the funding amounts detailed in Item 5 of the funding schedule.

The contract value is AUD 12,808,833, procured via a limited method under the Social Services category.
