DCSSDS awarded a contract to Ravenshoe Community Centre Inc for the delivery of specialised services and support to engage vulnerable young people aged 12 to 21 in the Ravenshoe and Mt Garnett communities.

The contract, valued at AUD 162,951 and procured through a limited method, involves developing and delivering programs, events, activities, and projects in partnership with young people to meet their individual needs and foster positive connections with family, community, friends, and social networks.

These include leadership programs, educational and vocational training, and cultural events aimed at re-engaging young people with community, education, training, employment, and family, and helping them develop knowledge, skills, and experience.

The activities also serve as a soft entry into targeted case management for young people with mid to complex support needs.

Recreational activities are only funded as part of a broader response, and general community support activities are not covered.

The provider is required to report quarterly on programs and include de-identified case management information.
