Youth Support Services for Vulnerable Young People in Mackay Region

DCSSDS-SDS awarded a contract to Mackay Regional Council for specialised services and support to young people in the catchment area who lack protective factors such as family, friends, community, school, and cultural connections, enabling them to lead safe, healthy and active lives.

The scope includes Information, Advice and Referral (T103) to assist young people and their families, kin or community members in making informed decisions and connecting to needed services, as well as Case Management (T314) providing collaborative, coordinated and client-centred support to meet individual needs and increase self-reliance and independence, including coordination of case panels with other government and non-government agencies.

Services are delivered in accordance with the Practice Guide for Youth Support Services (September 2016), using the Youth Wellbeing Common Assessment Tool (CAT) and the Youth Support Client Information System (YSCIS).

The contract value is AUD 167,257.
