Award of Specialised Youth Support Services in Central Queensland
Awarded 01 Oct 2023
About
DCSSDS awarded a contract to Central Queensland Indigenous Development Ltd for specialised services and support to young people in the catchment area who lack protective factors such as family, friends, community, school, and cultural connections.
The support aims to help these young people lead safe, healthy, and active lives, including those at risk of disconnection from family and community, disengagement from school or employment, harm including self-harm or suicide, cultural disconnection, homelessness, or involvement in the Youth Justice system.
Services will be delivered in accordance with the Practice Guide for Youth Support Services (September 2016), using the Youth Wellbeing Common Assessment Tool (CAT) to identify needs and develop tailored case plans, and the Youth Support Client Information System (YSCIS) for client management.
Five percent per annum of the funding is allocated for brokerage to assist young people in achieving their support plan goals.
YSCIS training will be provided to the organisation's representatives following contract execution, with the organisation responsible for subsequent staff training.
The contract value is AUD 1,094,541, procured via a select method.
