DCSSDS awarded a contract to Goolburri Aboriginal Health Advancement Company Limited for specialised services and support to deliver a service delivery model for delegated authority for children and/or young people in Darling Downs.
The service model comprises ongoing co-design, planning and delivery of practice responses and administration required to support the provision of functions and powers of the chief executive (Child Safety) under the Child Protection Act 1999, delegated to the CEO of Goolburri.
Delegations for each child are considered case-by-case in coordination with DCSSDS and outlined in Instruments of Delegation.
The model implements practice responses, day-to-day activities, support and administration for agreed functions and powers within geographic catchment areas serviced by CSSCs, with flexibility for supports to family and support networks outside these areas on a case-by-case basis.
The service model is underpinned by a co-designed operational agreement, draws upon the supplier's existing service delivery and cultural strengths, leverages its collaborative relationship with CSSCs, and complies with relevant legislative requirements.
The partnership aims to embed and grow practice to deliver delegations for a minimum of ten children in the first year and increasing thereafter.
The contract value is AUD 3,482,713, procured via limited method.
