Awarded 04 Aug 2024
About
DCSSDS awarded a contract to Mura Kosker Sorority Inc.
for specialised services and support to deliver a service model for delegated authority for children and/or young people in the Torres Strait.
The service model comprises ongoing co-design, planning and delivery of practice responses and administration required to support the provision of functions and powers of the chief executive (Child Safety) under the Child Protection Act 1999 delegated to the CEO of Mura Kosker Sorority Inc.
Specific delegations for each child are considered by the CEO in co-ordination with DCSSDS on a case-by-case basis and outlined in Instruments of Delegation.
The service model implements practice responses, day-to-day activities, and support and administration associated with these functions and powers, partnering with relevant CSSCs to support children and young people from the Torres Strait.
Flexibility is retained to offer supports to family and support networks outside CSSC catchments on a case-by-case basis.
The service model is underpinned by a co-designed operational agreement, draws upon the organisation's existing service delivery and cultural strengths, and complies with all relevant legislative requirements.
The contract value is AUD 4,055,754, procured via limited method.
