Award of Specialised Services and Support for Safe Havens to Mission Australia

DCYJMA awarded a contract to Mission Australia for specialised services and support to operate Safe Havens, which are required to reduce the impact of family violence on children, young people and their families.

The service model has eight elements, including coordination with community stakeholders, community capacity building (including strategies to address causal factors of family and domestic violence in Aboriginal communities), family support, family counselling, youth work, and community patrol.
