Award of Specialised Supported Independent Living Services for Young People by DCSSDS

DCSSDS awarded a contract to Life Without Barriers for specialised services and support, providing three places for young people aged 15 to under 18 with moderate or high needs, with the possibility of an additional place as negotiated.

Young people are assessed as meeting criteria for SILS placement prior to commencement, and the service maintains regular contact and supports their development in preparation for transitioning to independent living and adulthood.
