East Metropolitan Health Service awarded a contract to Mind Australia (Mind Australia Ltd) for a Peer Support Workforce to be part of a new 40-bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU) supporting consumers' transition back into the community.
The TCU includes a 20-bed Prevention and Recovery Unit (PRU) for short-term sub-acute care and a 20-bed Rehabilitation and Recovery Unit (RRU) for medium- to long-term care.
