About
Health Support Services awarded a contract to Cathara Consulting (Cathara Consulting Pty Ltd) for technical writer services to support the WA Health Data Platform (WAHDP) Program.
The WA HDP Program, previously known as the Real-time Demand Data Platform (RDDP) Program, was a five-year program initiated in 2021/2022 to develop the foundation for a scalable and extensible enterprise data platform that would provide a common source of truth for reporting across the WA Health system and improve consumer experiences through the power of data.
Within the 2024/25 financial year the program provided foundations for a scalable, enterprise-level data platform to deliver new data capabilities and enable benefits across WA Health through three streams of work, and the technical writer service was required to support those program activities.
Specialist consultancies were engaged for documentation and communication roles on this multi-year health data platform, reflecting the common practice of using external technical writing expertise to support governance, knowledge transfer and consistent reporting outputs in large health IT programs.
