Tertiary Family Support Services for Child Protection in Bowen Basin North

DCSSDS awarded a contract to UnitingCare Community for tertiary family support services to families with children and young people under 18, including unborn children, who have experienced abuse and/or neglect and are in the statutory child protection system.

The service aims to maintain families where a child remains at home under departmental intervention and monitoring, and to assist reunification from care placements when in the child's best interest.

Delivery is place-based in the SA3 31201 Bowen Basin North catchment, including Bowen and Moranbah, with staff traveling from Mackay as needed based on Child Safety referrals.

Referrals come exclusively from the department.

The contract value is AUD 1,319,164, procured through a limited method.
