DCSSDS awarded a contract to IFYS Limited for specialised services and support to young people in care who are unwilling or unable to engage in traditional non-family-based placement options.

The service provides flexible emergency overnight accommodation for up to four young people aged 12 to under 18 with moderate to extreme support needs, including access to a bed, food, shower, and meal packs, as well as life skills workshops and safety advice.

It also includes a proactive outreach service to help young people engage with local support services and transition to more permanent accommodation.

The contract value is AUD 4,438,160 and was procured through a limited method.
