Youth Support Services with Case Management and Aboriginal Cultural Responsiveness
Awarded 01 Jan 2024
About
DCSSDS-SDS awarded a contract to Anglicare North Queensland Limited for specialised support services to young people in the catchment area who lack protective factors such as family, friends, community, school, and cultural connections.
The services include Information, Advice and Referral (T103) and Case Management (T314), delivered in a culturally responsive manner by embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into program design, delivery, and evaluation, with respectful engagement with Traditional Owners and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
Case management is collaborative, coordinated, and client-centred, supporting young people to meet individual needs and increase self-reliance and independence through assessment, planning, and coordination with other services such as housing, counselling, and skills development, including case panels with government and non-government agencies.
The provider uses the Youth Wellbeing Common Assessment Tool (CAT) to identify needs and develop tailored case plans, consistent with the Practice Guide for Youth Support Services (September 2016).
The contract value is AUD 2,004,994 and was procured through a limited process.
