Youth Support Services for At-Risk Young People by Chinchilla Family Support Centre
Awarded 12 Jun 2024
About
DCSSDS awarded a contract to Chinchilla Family Support Centre Inc for specialised services and support to young people in the catchment area who lack protective factors such as family, friends, community, school, and cultural connections, enabling them to lead safe, healthy, and active lives.
The service includes culturally responsive practices by embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into design, delivery, and evaluation, including engagement with Traditional Owners and the local Indigenous community.
Specific responses include Information, Advice and Referral (T103) to assist young people and their families, kin, or community members in making informed decisions and connecting to services, and Case Management (T314) providing collaborative, coordinated, client-centred support to increase self-reliance and independence, including coordination with housing, counselling, and skills development services and case panels with other agencies.
Support is delivered consistent with the Practice Guide for Youth Support Services (September 2016), using the Youth Wellbeing Common Assessment Tool (CAT) and the Youth Support Client Information System (YSCIS).
The contract value is AUD 78,662, procured via RFQ not in P2i.
